Karen’s distinctive voice and Richard’s musical arrangements played a key role in their success, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Tragically, Karen Carpenter passed away in 1983 at the age of 32 due to heart failure related to anorexia nervosa, which led to a more intense focus on her legacy and the impact of eating disorders.
